GTA 6 PC Release Date: What Is Confirmed and What the Q1 2027 Report Claims

There is no official GTA 6 PC release date. Rockstar has confirmed Grand Theft Auto VI only for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026. The talk of a PC release in early 2027 comes from a GamesBeat report that relies on four anonymous sources. This article covers the latest updates, what Rockstar has confirmed, which platforms are expected and what PC players can do now.

Latest GTA 6 PC Release Date Updates

On October 13, 2026, GamesBeat (author Alexander Lee, updated October 14) reported that Rockstar plans to release GTA 6 on PC in the first quarter of 2027, meaning January to March. The report cites four industry sources with knowledge of Rockstar's plans. All four asked not to be named. Rockstar did not reply to GamesBeat's request for comment before publication.

What Rockstar Games Has Confirmed

The confirmed launch is November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. GamesBeat notes that Take-Two has reaffirmed that console date on earnings calls. We found no Rockstar or Take-Two statement announcing a PC version or giving it a date.

Expected Platforms and Availability

Consoles are confirmed and PC is not. GamesBeat points to the history of GTA V, which reached PC about 19 months after its console release, and argues that a gap of a few months this time would reflect a larger console-focused audience and Rockstar's interest in user-generated content and roleplay. It cites Rockstar's 2023 acquisition of Cfx.re, the team behind the FiveM roleplay framework for GTA V on PC. These are the outlet's reasons, not Rockstar's.

What PC Players Can Do Now

• Wait for an official announcement from Rockstar before planning around any PC date.
• Treat PC "release dates" in search results with caution. Until Rockstar announces a PC version, any page presenting one as confirmed is repeating the same unconfirmed report or something less reliable.
• Do not buy a PC key from a third-party seller. No official PC listing exists, so any such listing would not be genuine. This is our own advice, not a statement from Rockstar.
